Celebrating Success at the 1st Red Brick Building and Reimagining the Levels Local Entrepreneur Forum

On Wednesday 25th April 2018, almost 40 people attended an excitingly creative forum expertly facilitated by Jay Tompt and Hal Gillmore from Totnes REconomy.Budding entrepreneurs, investors and change-makers were brought together to exchange goods and ideas, money and services in order to develop social, sustainable and regenerative business enterprises that contribute positive benefits to the community.

Following on from a morning packed with opportunities to network and learn from existing small businesses, seven local entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to a community of ‘Dragons’ who then chose to offer financial and other support.

The business ideas were diverse and fascinating – publishing, intermediate technology solutions, local food, pop-up shop, community shop and apple juicing. Each presentation was allotted time for a Q&A session so that potential investors could gain a better understanding of the entrepreneurs’ vision and goals.Every one went home delighted with the generosity of the ‘Dragons’.

Special thanks to the folk at the Red Brick Building for organising and hosting, to the ingenious entrepreneurs for their ideas and enthusiasm and to those who contributed support.
